Wellek＇s Literary Theories has been regarded as the classic of the classics by academic circles. In his work, Wellek states that Standard literary study should be specifically centered on literature itself. The proposal of the ＂standard＂ is strongly verified by the author＇s outstanding academic theories and deeply critical practices. Therefore, this standard is worthy of our observation to regulate our academic behaviors.
