On the Main Trend of the Western Theory of Knowledge in Ancient Time ——The Exploration of Plato,Cicero and Augustine into Knowledge

文章依循西方知识论所探讨的主要问题,即知识的本质、来源、特性和如何为知识辩护,回溯柏拉图、西塞罗、奥古斯丁对知识的探究,及其对这些问题的解答。在此基础上,作者总结了西方古代主流知识论的理论特征,即:本质主义、理性主义和可知论。

Following the main problems of the Western theory of Knowledge,which are the essence,origin,features and defense for Knowledge,this essay traces back to the exploration of Plato,Cicero and Augustine into these problems.At last,the author sums up the theoretical features of the Western main trend of the theory of knowledge in ancient time,namely essentialism,rationalism and cognosciblism.
