On the Modern Significance of Zhang Dongsun's Economic Thought

张东荪是中国现代有影响的哲学家。他在20世纪三四十年代既主张思想文化自由又认为计划经济可行,这种矛盾的观念现象在当时具有一定的普遍性。从张东荪经济思想演变的历程,及其经济思想与文化理念之间的矛盾,反映出张东荪的学术研究具有明显的工具理性特点。这一特点证明了人类知识自负和理性自负在近代中国的存在。

Zhang Dongsun was a famous philosopher in modern China.Form 1930s to 1940s he maintained freedom of culture and planning economy.To a certain degree this contradictory thought had universality at that time.By reviewing development of Zhang Dongsun＇s economic thought,it can be seen clearly that Zhang Dongsun understood the Western civilization mainly from angle of instrumental reason.This characteristic of thought showed that conceit of mankind had existed in modern China.
