许艳文的《空城》、《雨城》、《戏城》三个系列中篇小说,各自相对独立,又有着内在的紧密联系,如果说《空城》是女性对理想的幻灭;那么,《雨城》和《戏城》则是女性对世俗现实的抗争,虽然抗争也许是无力的、甚至是悲剧性的,但毕竟是在抗争。从题目上看,作者也是匠心独运,寄寓了深刻的内涵和寓意。

Xu Yanwen＇s three novelettes Empty City, Rainy City and Dramatic City are relatively independent each other, but, have the close internal connection. If we say Empty City is about the disillusion of women, Rainy City and Dramatic City are about the women＇s resistance to the mundane reality. The resistance is useless, even is tragic, after all that is it. The title reflects the author＇s originality, and is full of the profound meaning and implicit sense.
