Treatment of Bone Tumors by Selective Arterial Embolization

目的：评估选择性动脉栓塞术（ＳＡＥ） 在骨肿瘤治疗中的作用。材料和方法：９３ － ９７ 年对４５ 例骨肿瘤行ＳＡＥ 治疗，所用血管栓塞剂主要为明胶海绵，栓塞后根据具体情况予手术及非手术治疗，定期随访。结果：３３ 例行手术治疗者３２ 例肿瘤被顺利切除，术中出血量大大减少；１２ 例未行手术治疗者１０ 例临床症状得到缓解（ 生存３ —１８月） ，２ 例得到治愈。无一例产生严重并发症。结论：ＳＡＥ 因安全、有效，能作为某些骨肿瘤重要的治疗手段。

Purpose:To evaluate the value of selective arterial embolization(SAE)in treating bone tumors.Materials and Methods: Forty-five patients during 1993-1997 with bone tumor underwent SAE and then accepted operation or non-operative treatments according to their actual condition. They were followed up routinely.Results:In 33 of the preoperative embolization cases, 32 achieved the significant reduction of blood loss during the resection of the tumors; 10 treated by palliative embolization experienced pain relief for various degrees; The symptoms in 2 cases disappeared after radical embolization. There were no serious complications in all cases. Conclusion:The results show SAE would be an effective and minimal invasive method for treatment of some bone tumors.
