摘要
本文探讨了释义在第二语言心理词汇重组的过程中所产生的作用。文章首先从理论层面阐述了目标语解释方式-释义在词汇教学中的意义。同时结合大学生英语词汇学习的特点设计了教学实验,试验结果表明:不同的解释方式对学习者二语心理词汇的重组产生不同的影响,目标语解释方式即释义对学习者二语心理词汇的重组有积极的作用,该结论对提高二语学习者词汇学习效率,促进二语心理词汇重组具有十分重要的作用。
The present study will investigate the effect of paraphrase on restructuring the second language mental lexicon. The paper firstly put forward the strong theoretical bases for the research hypothesis from the aspect of psycholing- uistics and applied linguistics and states the significance of paraphrase in restructuring the second language mental lexicon. A special teaching experiment is designed for some college students. The experiment result indicates that different methods of explanation have different effects on learners in restructuring the second language mental lexicon. The explanation in the target language or paraphrase, can greatly promote the process of restructuring. The findings proved the hypothesis and also suggested that paraphrase plays an active role in restructuring the second language mental lexicon and improves the vocabulary learning efficiency, which wiU be very significant to reorganization of the second language mental lexicon.
