This paper explains concisely the concept of ＂ entropy＂ as well as its application in social science.It analyzes the deficiencies of the traditional calculation formulae of entropy and entropy weight in the theory of entropy,and proposes a feasible method of amendment.In addition,it provides a mathematical proof for the modification of the entropy value and the entropy weight calculation formula so that the theory of entropy gets effectively improved and developed.
