Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone is now facing a golden development opportunity.Through deep analysis with the SWOT model,it＇s found that Beibu Gulf Economic Zone has its unique regional advantages： abundant coastal resources,superior cluster ports,multiple policy priorities etc;but it also suffers from the bottleneck of weak economic base and short economic radiation of central city,and is potentially threatened by other problems like competition pressure from other domestic economic zones,unsteady political situation of Southeast Asian countries and disputation of territorial waters.Beibu Gulf Economic Zone should base itself upon the Beibu Gulf,grasp the development opportunity;improve investment environment,attract more resource factors to serve for the zone development;implement sea-land interaction,create coastal economic development pole;develop characteristic industries and optimize industrial structure.
