摘要
缩略词是一种约定俗成的产物,也是文化交流的产物。它具有语用优越性但也会对语言文字造成一定的危险性。结合众多国家开展的语言净化运动,对"缩略词屏蔽"问题进行解读,使我们认识到规范缩略词在汉语中的使用是维护语言纯洁性的诉求,缩略词的翻译体现译者文化本位的思维模式和文化价值取向。
Abbreviation is the product of established usage and cross-cultural communication.It brings into the target language both its pragmatic advantages and dangers.From the worldwide language purifications,the analysis on Screening Abbreviations will help to understand that regulations on using English abbreviations in Chinese are the appeal of maintaining the holiness of Chinese language and that the translation of abbreviations is a reflection of the translators＇ culture-centering and value-orientation.
