Clinical observation on prevention mumps in TCM

"痄腮"又称流行性腮腺炎,是腮腺炎病毒所引起的急性呼吸道传染病,全年均可发病,但以冬春两季为主,多发于儿童和青少年。通过对我县773名学生在2007年和2008年服用中药预防流行性腮腺炎效果调查,预防总有效率高达98.44%。

Mumps also known as the epidemic parotitis, is acute respiratory infections caused by mumps virus, disease all year round, but mainly in winter and spring, and mainly in children and adolescents. In 2007 and 2008, 773 students through the county were investigated, they took traditional Chinese medicine for prevention of Mumps, and the total prevention effect was up to 98.44%.
