The soil and water loss area of Bayanzhouer Meng located on the north bank of middle reaches of the Yellow River is 2707km^2.The grie- vous soil and water loss makes fertile soil lose,land productivity decreased river bed uplifted,ecological environment worsen,faggot be short and energy resource tight.The wind power,rainfall,soil condition,lithology and slope as well as other natural factors are the potential causes to pro- duce soil and water loss.However,the human action like tillage and gra- zing in disorder is the essential reason.At last the concerned experiences are summarized.
