The Overseas Chinese and the Education Transition of the Modern Overseas Chinese District——Taking Guangdong Meizhou as an Example

近代以来,中国侨乡教育迅速转型。侨乡教育经费来源多元化、学校生源构成多样化、教育培养方向与教学内容外向化和教育体系多层化,华侨功不可没。这些转型特点在广东梅州得到了明显体现。

Since the modern times,the education of the Chinese overseas in Chinese have experienced a rapid reformation,which featured by the four aspects：the multiplication of educational fund,the diverse sources of students,the exteriorizing of education aim and course content,and the multiple stratification of the education system,to all of which overseas Chinese contributed.Meizhou District in Guangdong Province is just the typical case for such a transformation.
