大城市化:中国现代化的应然选择

Metropolitan:a De Jure Choice of China's Modernization

现代化意义的城市化其实是大城市化,而非小城镇化。大城市化既是市场化条件下城市化的必然结果,也是城市化路径的一种政策选择。我国长期以来的现代化实践则是工业化与城市化脱节,市场化与城市化不相匹配。长期抑制大城市发展,小城镇虽然得到鼓励发展,但不过是乡村的延伸。而今,工业化、市场化与城市化三者真正融合的大城市化时机已经到来。启动大城市化进程,应是中国现代化的理性抉择与现实选择。

Modern urbanization is a large metropolitan area rather than small towns.Metropolitan is not only the inevitable result of urbanization under the condition of marketization,but also a policy option.The long-standing practice of modernization in China has the problems such as the disjunction between industrialization and urbanization,the mismatch between marketization and urbanization.Because of the long-term inhibition of metropolitan development,the development of small towns is only an extension of the countryside.Nowadays,the opportunity of metropolitan with the true integration of industrialization,urbanization and marketization has come.To initiate the metropolitan process should be the rational and realistic choice for China＇s modernization.
