Feminist Translation Theory in the Perspective of Philosophical Hermeneutics

长期以来,女性主义翻译研究缺少与其他理论的对话。女性主义译论的本质不是强调差异,而是试图创造新的"二元对立",即创造与现存语言对立的女性语言。从哲学诠释学视角看,它忽视了译者的独特视阈对话语差异所产生的影响,忽略了有差别的男性独特视阈及其公共视阈。女性主义译论应与其他理论展开对话,唯此才能不断发展并日趋完善。

Critical studies of the feminist translation theory have so far been carried out without dialogues with other theories.A review of the feminist theory shows that the essence of the issue is not the theory's overemphasis on differences but rather its attempt to create a new dualism,or create a feminist language to oppose the existing one.Seen from philosophical hermeneutics,the absurdity of the feminist theory lies in its overlook of the discourse differences owing to the translator's individual vision.It also fails to consider the male translators' vision and the shared vision of the translation community.Therefore we suggest that for the development and improvement of feminist translation theory,more dialogues be held with other theories.
