大学资源主要包括有形的经济资源、无形的文化资源以及复杂的社会资源。资源汲取及其转化、延续、增值能力是名校生存发展的重要前提,是学者汇聚认同的基本条件,是名校活力久盛不衰的重要原因。经济资源汲取的多元途径,文化资源汲取的增量效应,以及个体行动者自豪感的萌生,都对名校活力的生成及维持发挥着深远的影响。资源汲取对名校亦产生双重影响,由于经济资源依赖可能导致名校学科倾斜、社会批判力弱化、本科教学边缘化等问题的出现。名校若以经济资源汲取为最高职志,则会因经济资源依赖而损害其作为学术组织应具有的根本精神。

The university resources mainly include the visible economic resources, the invisible cultural resources and the complicated social resources. The abilities of absorbing the resources and its transformation, continuation, and appreciation are the important premises for the survival and development of a famous university, which is also the basic requirement of scholars＇ identity, as well as the important reason of the famous university to maintain its vitality. The diversity approaches of absorbing economic resources, the increment effects of absorbing cultural resources, and the birth of sense of pride of the individuality would bring constant and deep effects on the production and maintenance of the vitality of a famous university. The resource absorbing ability has duel effects on a famous university. Relying on economic resource may lead to the problems as the incline of subjects, the weakness of social criticism , the marginalization of undergraduate teaching, etc. If a famous university takes economic resource absorbing as its supreme purpose, the fundamental spirit as an academic unit will be damaged for economic resource dependence.
