摘要
常乃德的世界史可分为两类,一类是为历史教学的参考书,常乃德在教学实践中,为青年自学编写了三本世界历史著作《法兰西大革命史》、《文艺复兴小史》、《西洋文化简史》。一类是抗战环境下撰写的德国史,反映的是在民族危亡的时候,爱国知识分子寻找强国之路,重新研究这两本德国史可以了解那个时代爱国知识分子的精神状况和现实对于他们的冲击所导致其史学研究的得失。
His foreign history works have two types.One is the foreign history reference books which introduce foreign history view with concise definition and the analysis of events.The other is books of history of Germany,which reflect that at the crisis of time,the patriotic personage with knowledge should look for the road to save country.Re-studying these German histories can help us to understand patriotic spirit of the patriots at that time and the gain and loss of their history research.
