高校英语教学模式探索——“弱化词汇意识教育”新思路

摘要 长期以来,中国的外语教学存在一种过分重视词汇积累而忽略词汇运用的误区,这种误区直接导致了"哑巴英语"的出现。为了提高英语教学的时效性,探索高校英语教学模式,在高校英语教学中应采取"弱化词汇意识教育",即注重词汇的实际运用而非盲目积累词汇的教育方式。 For a long time,we have over-emphasized the importance of accumulating vocabulary at such a high price that the students' ability to apply it has been greatly compromised.As a result,many college students are now suffering from "Paper English" syndrome.Their English is far better in paper than in presentation.In order to find a cure for this problem,the author explores into the current teaching methodology and dedicates this article to call for a shift of our attention to students' exertion of their existent vocabulary bank.
