摘要
随着中国国际交往的日益广泛和深入,双语公示语随处可见,作为世界认识中国的媒介,汉英公示语翻译日益显示出其重要性。文章在读者反应论指导下,分析了由于忽略读者的反应,如读者的文化习惯、心理审美、价值取向等方面的差异所引起的一些翻译问题,认为只有以译文读者为中心,并将译文读者的文化习惯放在首位,才能得出正确的译文。
With the speed-up of social development and the deepening of cultural and economic interaction,bilingual public signs are frequently needed.The Chinese-English translation of public signs has become an increasingly important medium for the outside world to know the country.The paper analyzes some typical errors resulting from the ignorance of receptor's responses based on the theory of reader's response.The author thinks that the translator should keep the target language reader in mind;otherwise it will be difficult to be accepted.
