Hyphenated compound words is a very active vocabulary category. They have been widely and flexibly used in English language, and reflect the creativity of vocabulary. To master its word building laws, stress rules and functions will be useful for language learners to understand the features of vocabulary construction deeply, and to meet people＇s needs for new information in an new age.
