A Study of the Essence of Literature

现代传媒在文化领域建立的图像霸权,以及当下大众精神生存空间的网络化趋势,不断挤占着文学的生存领地,抵消着文学之于人性重建的无可取代的诗性价值。由此,以当下文化语境反观文学的审美特质与独特审美存在方式,对文学作为主体既满足此在情感享受又导向精神超越的生命体验方式之本体价值予以当代意义的揭示,实乃文艺美学迫切需直面的重大历史性课题。

Because of the rise of modern media,establishment of image hegemony,together with the public spiritual reliance on the network,is constantly encroaching the dominion of literature,and simultaneously counteracting the poetic value in its noble role of reconstruction of human nature.Under the contemporary cultural context,people need to reconsider the aesthetic nature of literature and its unique artistic expression form,and meanwhile,try to reveal the intrinsic essence of literature,the reason of which is that literature can not only satisfy people＇s aesthetic needs,but lead to a spiritual self-transcendence as well.This,in essence,is a very urgent historical issue which literary aesthetics needs to face.
