A new method of on line nondestructive testing for the flaws on graphite spheres surface with electromagnetic eddy current is stated. A new friction rotating method which can find the location of all flaws is presented and is used on 10MW High Temperature Gas Cooled Reactor(HTR 10). Compared with the old devices in mechanical method, the device of separating failed spheres is not only small in size but also light in weight. In the experimental operation, the device performs stably, reliably and satisfactorily. It can separate the failed ones from all spheres exactly.
