The Adjustment of the Structure of Higher Education for the Economic Development of Beijing

高等教育对经济发展的作用一直是各国关注的问题,并存在理论分歧。通过对比高校扩招前后两个阶段,对高等教育规模与北京市地区总产值和第三产业增加值进行相关性研究,指出北京市高等教育总量上仍低于国际平均水平,教育结构失衡是制约第三产业发展,进而影响整个地区经济发展的主要因素,并提出相关建议。

The relationship between higher education and economy development is well concerned and disputed.Through the international comparison of the relative researches of higher education and economic development before and after college enrollment expansion in Beijing,the article points out that the total size of Beijing higher education is lower than the international average and has suffered from structural imbalance,based on which the article proposes suggestions for Beijing Higher Education＇s development in the aspects of amount,structure and quality.
