How to enhance the public＇s awareness and eliminate the discrimination against AIDS？ Public education is considered as the best approach.There are a number of channels through which information can be provided for AIDS-related education,such as,schools,workplaces and job centers,health service providers and last but not least-the media.Among all the channels,the media are playing an essential role in social learning.Nowadays,the emerging new media technologies keep coming to the fore,which offer alternatives to the traditional media strategies in response to AIDS.What are these new media tools at hand？ What is a proper media strategy in the fights against HIV and AIDS？ The article reviews initiatives which have employed new media tools in AIDS prevention and advocacy campaigns.The purpose of this review is to help decision makers and stake holders understand what needs to be implemented in the changing circumstances.
