陶亢德是20世纪三四十年代文学期刊界的一位风云人物。他的办刊实践可以分为三个阶段:《生活》周刊时期;《论语》《人间世》《宇宙风》时期;《宇宙风乙刊》到抗战结束。其办刊思想集中于一句话,"办杂志则只能办杂志,取之于作者读者还之于作者读者",包含着三层意思:清晰的编辑角色意识,真诚的作者至上理念,细心的读者服务思想。
