Research of the History of Chinese Communist Party:Review and Prospect

中共党史研究这一工作虽从延安时代开始,但党史学科的建立和大发展是在改革开放以后。改革开放三十多年来,党史研究工作在史料收集整理、澄清历史真相、拓展研究领域、评价党史事件和党史人物、编写基本著作等各方面取得了丰硕的成果。今后党史研究的发展将着重在以下几个方面:对民主革命时期、社会主义革命和建设时期的研究仍将继续;改革开放以来的新时期将进一步成为研究工作的重点;有系统、有重点地开展专题史研究;有针对性地编写党史普及读物。

Though the research work of the history of Chinese Communist Party started as early as the Yan'an period, the establishment and great development of the descipline of party history occured after the reform and opening up. During the over 30 years since the reform and opening up, much achievements have been made in material collection, finding historical truth, broadening research field, evaluate major events and figures, compiling books and others. The research in future will focus on the following few aspects: research of the period of democratic revolution and the period of socialism construction will be continued; the period since the reform and opening up will be the key of the further study; research of certain specific themes will be conducted systematically and readings for the public will be compiled so that the achievements of the research will have more extensive social influence.
