This paper introduces in detail the cut-off and regulation works for the Dadaowan bendway, such as selection of optimal scheme, test conditions of prototype ship and ship model, model test of river works, determination of most reasonable cut-off scheme. When construction work was underway, some effective measures were taken to make this project to be carried out with the desired results.
