设计大师约里奥·库卡波罗、中国设计师和"印氏家具"传人印洪强先生共同探讨传统家具的现代化设计。他们设计制作的竹质家具,既吸取中国传统红木家具的精髓,又吸取北欧设计的简洁、绿色的功能主义风格。
China has a long tradition of furniture design, and to promote traditional design in modern world,designers must satisfy several needs from three aspects,i.e.,massproductive, eco-friendly and ergonomic. Finnish designer Prof.Yrjo Kukkapuro, together with Prof Zhou Haoming,Mr.Yin Hongqiang,a traditional craftsman from Jiangsu Province,and Doc.Fang Hai,have made interesting progress in the area of the modernization of traditional furniture by applying the magic material bamboo.
