The evolution of Japanese Acrade （Business street） is one of the successful development cases in Japanese urban modernization process. Japanese Acrade usually kept steps with the change of people＇s lifestyles and scientific and technological progress. It has so many similarities with the building overhang and Eaves gallery in China. This article attempts to analyze the process of how Acrade developed step by step from a traditional shopping street to a modem Business street, and bring some inspiration for modern transformation of the traditional streets in China.
