Fault Diagnosis is one of the important topics in the area of artificial intelligence and expert system. We mainly discussed the knowledge representation and problem solving methods linked with GBR technology in rotating machine expert system. It has a clear and beautiful human - machine interface which can be operated easily. It can diagnose conveniently , efficiently and reasonably two kinds of fault parts of machine.
