Remarking on the "Oaths at the Place of Chanyuan"

"澶渊之盟"是宋辽史上一重大事件。对它的评价,学界历来存在很大分歧。然而,从多民族国家共同创造历史的眼界看问题,尽管存其消极的一面,但其符合民心、顺应潮流的积极作用应给予充分肯定。

＂Oaths at the place of Chanyuan＂ was an important event in the history of Song and Liao Kingdoms.With regard to the evaluation of it,there have been great differences in the academic field.However,reviewing from the angle of that ＇many nations co-create the history＇,we can see even there existed negative side in it,yet it was in accordance with the people＇s will and conformed to the historical trend of the time,which should be fully affirmed.
