基于MPC8321的U-Boot分析与移植

Analysis of U-Boot and Method of Its Porting Based on MPC8321

嵌入式操作系统是嵌入式系统极为重要的组成部分,所以操作系统的移植是嵌入式系统软件开发的重要环节,而启动引导程序的开发是嵌入式操作系统移植的第一步,为加载操作系统的内核建立必要的环境和传递正确的启动参数。U-Boot凭借其广泛支持ARM、PowerPC等多种架构的处理器以及支持Linux、tBSD和VxWorks等多种操作系统,成为通用性最强的一种开源启动引导程序,因而被普遍采用。文章选择U-Boot为自制目标板的操作系统的引导驱动,目标板以MPC8321为处理器,详细分析了U-Boot的启动过程。根据分析,阐述了U-Boot在该目标板上的移植步骤,实现了U-Boot在自制板上成功移植并完成linux的顺利引导,为实现该目标板的既定功能提供了必须的工具和稳定的操作系统环境。

Bootloader development is a key step for porting operation system to a CPU,which plays an important role in embedded system.As a universal bootloader,U-Boot is selected to be ported to the PowerPC processor here and this paper analyses porting process of U-boot on the self-made target board based on processor MPC8321.Firstly,a brief description of the U-Boot and target board hardware resources.Then,it analyses the boot flow of U-Boot in details.At last,the process of the porting from the choice of reference board and the transplanting U-Boot to the self-made target board are given.Finally downloading U-boot.bin to the platform,it runs steadily and boots Linux successfully.
