Idioms play an important part in the development of language.They carry cultural feature and information of different nations.And they are concise and comprehensive,vivid,full of wit and humor.All idioms derive from historical origin with distinct national characteristics and are closely related with the geographical environment,historical background,economical life,social customs and habits,religious belief,concept of value of a nation.So cultural connotation and national characteristics would be considered when translating the idioms.
