大学英语由基础英语和专业英语两个部分组成。基础英语的教学目标是培养学生的听、说、读、写能力。专业英语是大学英语的高级阶段,它是以专业知识为载体,培养学生在本专业领域运用英语语言的能力。针对电化学专业英语课程教学中面临诸多问题,文章从教育管理、教材建设、教学方法、考核方式等方面提出了相应的改革措施,以期达到不断提高学生应用专业英语之目的。

College English consists of basic English and specialized English. The teaching objective of basic English is to develop the students＇ listening, speaking, reading and writing. While specialized English is the advanced stage of College English, using professional knowledge as the vector as to develop the ability of using the english language in the native field. There are many problems in the area of specialized electrochemical english teaching. The paper discussed the teaching reform in the fields of education management, the built of teaching materials, teaching methods and assessment methods for improving the student＇s ability in using specialized English.
