With the frequent contacts between Chinese and Westerners in late Qing Dynastry, the racial prejudice against each other increased rapidly, among them, the body became the easy target being discriminated and attacked in the respective ethnocentric discourses of the White and Yellow. With the impending reality of being the conquered and at the verge of racial extinction, the discourse balance was shifted to the West. The Chinese elites came to realize that it was high time to reform our body which was weaker than the White and brutally treated by vulgar customs.
