Colloid gold immunochromatography assay （CIA） is a new immunological technology, with high sensitivity and specificity, easy operation and rapid judgment, especially for the primary hospital and the field surveys. The technique has been widely used in the fields of medicine, food safety, and so on. This review summarized its application in disease diagnosis of infectious disease and food sanitation testing.
