Antibody against the ethylene induced 60 kD protein (E60) in carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus L.) petal was obtained from immunized rabbit serum. The E60 was purified with gel filtration, DEAE_Sephadex and Hydroxylapatite column. By combining IEF, SDS_PAGE and immune_blot analysis, the ethylene induced 60 kD protein was found to be an pI 6.3 peroxidase.
