This article examines the major adjustments and changes in the ethnic Chinese policies adopted by the Malaysian government since the 2008 national election,especially since April 2009 when Najib became the Prime Minister of Malaysia,with a focus on the different factors behind such a policy change such as politics,economy and the popular will in the country,as well as the impact on the Malaysian politics and the ethnic Chinese community.It aims at a more in-depth understanding of the development trend between the Malaysian politics and the ethnic relations.
