The Abandoned Stage by the famous Russian poet Bulat Okudzhava was awarded the Booker Prize of the Russian language in 1994.The novel is an autobiographic historical description of the social life of the Soviet Union in the 1920s and 1930s.Through the study of the narrative ways used in the novel, such as the combination of hypothesis and reality, the infiltration of the romantic style into the tragic plots and the defamiliarization of the historical space, the author's ultimate aim of freedom and mental value which are beyond all fashions and trends will be disclosed to us.
