巴德植入式静脉港是一种完全植入体内的静脉输液器材，它由两部分组成：一部分为注射座，另一部分为放射显影的硅胶导管。由锁骨下：一窝处植入，静脉港完全位于锁骨下窝处皮下内。临床主要用于输注各种药物、补液、营养支持治疗，输血或成分血，同时也可能用于血样采集。通过无损伤针穿刺输液港建立输液通道，减少，临床上病人反复静脉穿刺和难度。同时输液港可将各种药物通过导管直接输送到中心静脉处，防止刺激性药物．尤其是化疗营养支持类药物等对静脉的损伤。目前静脉港植入已较多应用于需要长期静脉治疗的老年患者，及少数的化疗病人。
