Disc brake with good braking performance is applied in all kinds of vehicles. This article introduces two methods of calculating parking torque of disc brake. And it is verified in practice by a vehicle. The result showed that the sum of parking brake force bigger than 20% of the curb mass in the tested state can meet the requirements of the regulations and prove the validity of the algorithm.
