Diamond-shaped spring strip and rectangular spring strip are usually used in the steam turbine. To choose and design spring strips correctly is meaningful for turbine＇s safe operation and enhancing steam seal＇s performance. For these two kinds of spring strips, the maximum stress is derived from a mechanical analysis, additionally, a comparison between them and analysis about their effictiveness are given.
