摘要
通过一项对348名大学非英语专业本科新生所做的实验发现,语音自我概念在整体英语自我概念的构成中虽然仍是最重要的因素,但它只能通过整体英语自我概念间接地影响英语水平;只有语音水平和整体英语自我概念能直接地影响到英语水平;同时,语音水平还可分别通过语音自我概念和整体英语自我概念间接地影响英语水平。可见,促进语音水平的提高在大学英语学习阶段仍是必不可少的功课。
An experiment on 348 non-English major freshmen reveals,though still contributive to the building of English self-concept,pronunciation self-concept exerts only an indirect influence on the English proficiency;instead,it is pronunciation ability and English self-concept that are directly related with the English proficiency;besides,pronunciation ability is indirectly related to the English proficiency through the other two self-concepts above.Conclusion can be drawn that an endeavor to improve students' pronunciation is required to in College English course.
