夏丏尊翻译思想初探——以《爱的教育》为例

夏丏尊是近代著名的教育家、文学家、编辑出版家和翻译家。他所翻译的《爱的教育》(日译本),引起强烈的社会反响。目前国内外关于夏丏尊翻译思想的研究寥寥无几,其主要原因在于夏丏尊并没有专门的翻译理论著作并提出明确的翻译标准、目的和策略,这就使得研究夏丏尊翻译思想有一定难度,只能从他的论著中提取归纳。夏丏尊的译作《爱的教育》渗透着他的翻译思想。文章从夏丏尊翻译《爱的教育》入手,剖析其翻译过程中所秉承的标准及原则,对他的翻译思想进行初步探索。

Xia Mianzun is known as a modern educator,writer,editor and publisher as well as a translator.He translated Japanese ＂Love of Education＂ into English in a serious attitude,causing strong social reflection.But at present the study on his translation theory is very little both at home and abroad.The main reason is that Xia Mianzun neither form his own translation theory nor put forward clear standards,aims or strategies of translation,which adds much difficult in studying his translation idea.We can only extract and sum up his idea from his works.His translation of ＂Love of Education＂ permeates the translation of his ideas,and this paper explores his translation ideas by analyzing the standards and principles that he persist in his translation process,with his translation of ＂Love of Education＂ as a start.
