Tragedies always reflect the deeper understanding of the reality.King Lear is considered as one of the Four Tragedies and the masterpieces that represent Shakespeare＇s thought.While under the shadow of the brilliant literary rays of light reflected by it,there is the writer＇s Dignitary Thought which tends to leech on to the dignitary,please the kingship and serve for loyal family.This paper discussed and analyzed this embodiment and the causes,aiming at the full understanding of Shakespeare＇s thought and writing characteristics.
