浅析海明威短篇小说中的重复艺术

A Brief Analysis of the Repetition in Hemingway's Short Stories

美国作家厄内斯特·海明威一直以其"电报式"的简洁文风而为人们所津津乐道。而若细读其作品,亦不难发现其中存在少数偏离自身文风的现象——在遣词造句上的避简就繁、刻意重复。本文选取了其短篇小说中的几例对这一现象进行分析,说明这种重复并非啰嗦赘言,反而是作者高超技巧的表现。

The American author Ernest Hemingway has been the subject of much research for his terse ＂telegraphic＂ style of writing.Yet if we read his works carefully,it＇s not difficult to detect a few examples of deviation from his own style——a deliberate way of complication and repetition in his choice of words and sentences.In this article,some examples are selected from his short stories to analyse this phenomenon,thus illustrating that instead of being wordy,such kind of repetition shows the author＇s superb skill of writing.
