《诗经》时代,人们的生育观是非常鲜明的,许多歌谣都真实地再现了周代生育制度和生育习俗方面的生动情形。其中,亦有不少歌颂多子多孙的诗篇。无论是在统治阶级内部,还是民间百姓之家,取芣苢、螽斯、麒麟、花椒等意象之多子(或多籽)的含义,无不是为了求得多子多福、子孙昌盛的好运。

The idea of reproduction is very bright during the poetry time.Numerous folk songs vividly portray the reproductive system and birth custom of the Zhou Dynasty.Some of those folk songs express the expectation of having plenty of children.This paper studies this productive view in the ruling class and ordinary people individually.In fact,people from both classes have the thought of much son,much good fortune and both wish the prosperity from generation to generation.Their willing of having many sons can be seen in their favor of grasshoppers,unicorns,pepper and many other things which all have the image of plenty of offspring.
