姓名蕴含着极其丰富的文化历史,折射出民族文化的内涵,反映人们的价值观念。通过对英汉姓名的历史渊源,宗教信仰,价值观念等的对比研究,尝试解释英汉姓名的深层文化内涵,分析英汉文化的共性,以期增进不同民族的文化交流。
Names contain abundant cultural history.They not only reflect the connotation of national culture but also people＇s concept of values.A contrastive research on history,religious beliefs, values between Chinese and English names is made,deep cultural connotations between them are explianed and similarities in English and Chinese cultural backgrounds are analyzed,in order to help promote cultural exchange among different nations.
