云南农耕文化的局限性

The Limitations of Yunnan Farming Culture

任何一种文化都有两面性,即先进性和局限性。在历史的长河中,云南各民族创造了各具特色的农耕文化。今天,云南农耕文化也有其不利于当代社会发展的一面,这是我们在传承和弘扬时必须加以摒弃的,其局限性主要表现在:封闭保守,自给自足;因循守旧,墨守陈规;小富即安,不思进取;原始平均,害怕竞争;势单力薄,难抗灾险。

Any culture has its dual character,i.e. the advancement and limitations. In the long process of history,every nationality in Yunnan Province created splendid and distinctive farming culture. However,Yunnan farming culture today has its facet that is unfavorable to the development of current society,which must be discarded while succeeding to and carrying forward it. The limitations of Yunnan farming culture are mainly originated from the fact that people are closed and preservative with self-sufficiency,adherent conservatively to the old convention and habits,satisfied with being well off without seeking progress,primitively equal without competitive consciousness,and are too powerless to resist natural calamities and risks.
