Ground cover plants are the underpainting for urban landscaping and a major part of ornamental plant community. To achieve a graceful visual effect,necessary screening and disposition of ground cover plants is a must. This article deals with the resources of ground cover plants in the northeast of China,defines the principles in deploying ground cover plants in urban landscaping and the common arrangement of plants in various situations in detail.
