Taking the installation of main machine of 1 million tons steel-making conticasters in Rizhao Iron Steel Holdings Group Co.,Ltd.and Wuyang Iron and Steel Co.Ltd.as the example,this paper introduces in detail a new method for the installation and measurement of the equipment of conticaster,that is adopting the coordination among prism connecting pieces and gauging pins and measuring wheels,precisely connecting with measuring prism of total station,and utilizing the total station to inspect and retest of the latitudinal/longitudinal sizes and the elevation after construction layout and equipment stationing.
